to show your support for the Honor Guard
The American Legion Mary Ellen Piotrowski, Post 94 Honor Guard provides military honors for our departed comrades.
Along with the rifle volley, taps, and the presentation of the three spent shells to the spouse or next of kin.
We will also do a short reading about the "Folded Flag", a prayer (if requested by our Chaplain), and the reading of the poem
"Remember It Is the Veteran".
Our Honor Guard Commander, or the person in charge that day, will present a sympathy card to the spouse or next of kin from the Honor Guard Squad.
A "Final Salute" to our departed comrade will close the service.
We also post our Nation's Colors at several community events throughout the year.
Our Honor Guard currently has 11 members.
